Daewoo (korean “ Great Universe”) was founded on the 22d of March 1967. More than 30 Daewoo divisions produced a wide range of products from semiconductors and TVs to cars and ships, with asset value $ 98, 9 billion.
Uz-Daewoo Auto Co. was set up on a partially basis in 1992 by state-owned Uzbek automaker “Uzavtosanoat” and South Korean automaker “Daewoo Motor”.
In 2002, the American auto corporation “General Motors” became the owner of the control packet of shares of Daewoo Motor. On the basis of that company GM Daewoo Automotive and Technology (GM DAT) was founded. UzDaewoo Auto Co. got a right on the brands Nexia, Matiz , Damas and produced under them sedan, economy cars and mini-van models.
In 2005 Uzavtosanoat owned the bankrupt South Korean firm “Daewoo Motor” and took full control over the company.
On May 2007 the Uzbek Government signed with GM DAT the strategic cooperation agreement to provide Nexia and Matiz auto modernization, further production localization and also allowed the development of new cars models by UzDaewooAuto Co.
On March 2008 a new joint enterprise “GM Uzbekistan” was founded.
Nowadays, UzDaewoo remains the best-selling brand in the list of the top ten in Russian Federation and Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) and continue to expand world's market bounds.

5 distributors represent UzDaewooAuto Co in Russian Federation. They do indefatigable teamwork increasing quality of the service and improving the image of the company. They have an extensive dealer network which successfully sells practically half of the cars made in Uzbekistan. Besides, the permanent analysis of the market and client requirements monitoring are conducted in a purpose of further industrial modernization and car models expansion.
